  1. Open the Start menu and select Server Manager or type Server Manager and select it

  2. When IIS Manager is ready to run you will see IIS show under All Servers.

  3. Open the Tools menu and select Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager

  4. Expand the server in the tree on the left-hand side of the window. Then select
    Application Pools and select bitBAPI.

  5. In the Application Pools window, stop the bitBAPI pool. You will see the status change to
    Stopped.

  6. Once the server is stopped (stop is greyed out) you can replace the bitB.API.dll file.
    The bitb.API.dll file in B:\ QoS Networking\bitB Server\bin with the new bitB.API.dll file. Copy the file (from step 1) to the bin directory.

  7. Select the bitBAPI pool in the Application Pools list and then select Start
    Manager

  8. Select the bitBAPI website on the left-hand side of the window and then select the
    Browse 443 (https) option to open an Internet Explorer session to the bitBAPI
    website.

  9. The bitB Server uses a locally signed certificate. When IE opens, select Go on to
    the webpage (not recommended)

  10. If the bitB API service has started properly and the website is up and running, you will
    see the API Running message.
