How to Create a Local Account in bitB

Note: You will need to use existing Admin account to create a user.

 Instructions

  1. In bitB, select Admin and Manage Users

  2. In the Manage Users window, select Add

  3. Enter the information of the user and assign the appropriate role

    1. Please see below for more information on each role

  4. Ensure Active is checked.

  5. Upon initial login, the user will be prompted to change their password:

  1. The user will now be able to login to bitB.

bitB user roles:

  • User

    • The standard User role cannot see the Manage section on the Device tab, the Admin tab or Manage Device IPs, or Rediscover Devices in the Device List

  • Admin

    • The Admin has access to all features in bitB.

  • Network Operator

    • The Network Operations role can add/remove (Manage Device IPs) and Rediscover Devices in bitB. The Network Operations role would not see or have access to the Admin tab.
