  1. Download the bitBInstaller

    You can download bitB using the link provided with the purchase of bitB:
    Or you can use the following link:

    http://download.bradinthebox.net/bitBinstaller.exe

  2. Next, execute the bitBInstaller.exe
  3. If you are an administrator on the local system, you will be prompted to allow the application to make changes on the local system.


  4. If you are not an administrator on the local system, you will receive the same prompt, but you will need to enter administrator credentials to continue.



  5. The Installer will start display the Welcome to the prerequisite's setup wizard screen.



  6. Click Next to view the prerequisites list.
  7. bitB requires Microsoft SLQ Server or SQL Server Express.  Press Next to have the bitBInstaller install SQL Server Express.

    1. Note: MS SQL Server Express 2017 is installed for Windows 10 systems.

  8. You can also choose to install Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.  It is not required but can be used to perform maintenance on the bitB database or to execute queries against the database.



  9. Click Next to install the prerequisites
  10. The Microsoft SQL Server Express installation takes approximately 35 minutes to complete.  During the SQL Server install, a command prompt window will open during the SQL Server installation.  Nothing needs to be done.  The window will close once MS SQL Server Express is installed.



  11. Now that Microsoft SQL Server is installed you can install the bitB application.



    you will need your bitB/2Checkout license code.  Your name and organization will be filled in by default.  Enter your license code and press Next.



  12. bitB will be installed in Program Files\QoS Networking\bitB
  13. Click Next to continue




  14. This dialog is used to configure the MS SQL Server settings.  The default is Trusted Connection and should work for all installations where the user has local admin privileges on the local system.  For information on SQL Server Authentication, see Installation advice and tips
  15. Click Next to continue



  16. The bitB installer will attempt a connection to the Microsoft SQL Server.
  17. If the Microsoft SQL Server is detected and accessible, you will see the next screen



  18. Skip to step 24
  19. If Microsoft SQL Server is not detected or is not accessible, you will see the next screen


  20. Click OK.
  21. The screen will return to the Configuring SQL Connection screen.  You will need to enter a valid Microsoft SQL Server and instance before advancing to the next screen.



  22. If no Microsoft SQL Server is available, you will need to cancel the installation and Install Microsoft SQL manually and rerun the bitB installation.
  23. Once Microsoft SQL Server is installed, the bitB Installer will configure bitB.

  24. You can uncheck the Show Log checkbox and click Finish to complete the bitB installation.



  25. You will now have a bitB shortcut on your desktop.  bitB and SQL Server shortcuts are added to the left side of the Start Menu.
