bitB Installer configures Windows features to support the bitB Server
bitB Installs and Configures Internet Information Services (IIS). A bitB API Website is created. The bitB Client will connect to the bitB API server using a secure connection on TCP Port 443.
If the bitB Server installation is successful, you will see the Completing the bitB Server Setup Wizard dialog with an option to show the log. The log is not important if the installation was successful.
Now that the bitB Server install was successful, you will need to initialize the bitB API Server. Open the Start menu and select Server Manager.
When IIS Manager is ready to run you will see IIS show under All Servers.
IIS now appears in Server Manager
Open the Tools menu and select Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
Once IIS Manager opens, expand the server to show the bitBAPI site. Now select the Browse 443 (https) option to open an Internet Explorer session to the bitBAPI website.
The bitB Server uses a locally signed certificate. When IE opens, select Go on to the webpage (not recommended)
If the bitB Service has started properly and the website is up and running, you will see the API Running message.
Now you can install the bitB Client’s to connect to the bitB Server.
