  1. Download the bitBInstaller https://download.bradinthebox.net/bitBInstaller.exe
  2. Next, execute the bitBInstaller.exe
  3. If you are an administrator on the local system, you will be prompted to allow the application to make changes on the local system.

  4. If you are not an administrator on the local system, you will receive the same prompt, but you will need to enter administrator credentials to continue.

6. The User Experience Settings are optional. You can opt in by leaving the boxes checked or opt out by unchecking.

8. bitB requires Microsoft SLQ Server or SQL Server Express.  Press Next to have the bitBInstaller install SQL Server Express 17.

12. Once SQL Server has been installed, proceed with the bitB installation.

  3. This dialog is used to configure the MS SQL Server settings.  The default is Trusted Connection and should work for all installations where the user has local admin privileges on the local system.  For information on SQL Server Authentication, see Installation advice and tips

  5. The bitB installer will attempt a connection to the Microsoft SQL Server.
  6. If the Microsoft SQL Server is detected and accessible, you will see the next screen



  7. Skip to step 24
  8. If Microsoft SQL Server is not detected or is not accessible, you will see the next screen

  9. Click OK.
  10. The screen will return to the Configuring SQL Connection screen.  You will need to enter a valid Microsoft SQL Server and instance before advancing to the next screen.



  11. If no Microsoft SQL Server is available, you will need to cancel the installation and Install Microsoft SQL manually and rerun the bitB installation.
  12. Once Microsoft SQL Server is installed, the bitB Installer will configure bitB.

  13. You can uncheck the Show Log checkbox and click Finish to complete the bitB installation.



  14. You will now have a bitB shortcut in the Start Menu.
